Ultrasonic Level of Horizontal Wood Chip Silo

Stranger than Fiction

File this application under you won’t believe it worked.

Customer had a requirement to measure level in a 70 Ft silo containing wood chips - no problem with that.

So what is the problem?

The silo is on its side and the unit needs to measure horizontally with a number of obstructions and a rake system to move the wood.

Enter the L4660-STD-33J-1 for bulk solids to the rescue.

We are pleased to announce that the unit has now been installed since early in January and has worked well in this unusual application.

So much so that the customer is planning to install an additional 11 units in the near future.
